One-on-One Fitness Center Opens in McLean

McLean has a new addition to its fitness community. Steven Head opened the Personal Training Center, a division of the Avery & Associates physical therapy practice, last week at 6862 Elm St. in McLean.

“Time, safety, and motivation are the three obvious advantages of a personal trainer,” Head said.“When you go to a health club, you wait in line and may spend most of your time talking to people… Here the likelihood of injury is less, and you have the incentive to show up for an appointment with me and push yourself a little harder than you would on your own.”

Head, a certified strength conditioning specialist and personal trainer, said his style is “subtle persuasion… I am here to advocate a lifestyle, not to revamp you overnight.”
Many of Head’s clients are referrals from Avery & Associates, so he sees a lot of familiar faces.
